WMR was founded in 2009 with the aim to support the UK’s and European metal recycling needs, through continued investment in both infrastructure and its people. WMR has focused on expanding its relationships across the globe, with a particular focus on building relationships with processing facilities in the South Asian market.
We are a family run company with an imbedded ethos of fair and transparent business ethics, The Company is now managed by second-generation family members who are committed to the same ethos as the founding members.
WMR purchase approximately over 50,000 metric tonnes of non-ferrous and ferrous scrap metals which are then shipped to processing facilities across the world to be recovered, recycled, and reused contributing to the circular economy and providing numerous grades of new and sustainable raw materials.
WMR is focused on maintaining the highest standards of environmental governance and compliance. The company has been an Approved Exporter with the UK Environment Agency for the past 9 years and is both ISO9001 and ISO14001 accredited. WMR is committed to providing a sustainable cleaner greener world for future generations to come.
